The German maritime industry develops and manufactures complex ships and installations for a wide range of applications at sea: civil seagoing vessels (merchant ships, passenger ships, yachts and civil public-authority vessels), naval vessels and boats as well as manufacturing facilities and conveyor systems for offshore use and vehicles for use on inland waterways.
